WNC Secures Double A Ratings from CDP, Highlighting Global Environmental Leadership
Share on
Hsinchu, Taiwan, December 22, 2025 — WNC Corporation (WNC) announced that it has been awarded Leadership-level "A" ratings in both the Climate Change and Water Security questionnaires conducted by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the world's leading environmental disclosure platform. Among the more than 22,100 companies that submitted environmental data to CDP in 2025, WNC's achievement of two A ratings reflects the company's exceptional operational transparency, robust environmental governance, and continued progress in building climate and water resilience.
"This recognition demonstrates not only WNC's alignment with global disclosure standards, but also our improved capacity to manage climate-related risks and advance the company's long-term sustainability transition," said Molly Lin, Chief Sustainability Officer of WNC.
WNC has expanded its scenario analysis to encompass a broader set of climate and water security risks and has worked with external experts to introduce structured training programs and implement an internal carbon pricing framework. Through this framework, implicit carbon prices were calculated using factors such as projected energy consumption, renewable electricity procurement targets, carbon reduction costs, and energy-efficiency investments. WNC then referenced international carbon price benchmarks and best practices adopted by global peers to establish internal carbon pricing that best fits the company's current business operations, which has helped it formulate sustainability policies and investment plans that align more closely with its net-zero roadmap.
In water resource management, WNC has implemented comprehensive conservation measures across its global manufacturing sites, including rainwater recycling, air-conditioning condensate recovery, and RO wastewater recycling. These efforts have resulted in a marked reduction in total water withdrawal, consumption, and discharge compared to last year. Within its supply chain, WNC has increased the proportion of suppliers that have obtained third-party verification for their GHG inventory and formulated carbon reduction plans. The company was also awarded an "A" rating in CDP's Supplier Engagement assessment in July this year, which is a testament to its leadership in value chain climate action. Based on current trajectories, WNC anticipates exceeding its target of a 25% absolute reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030, relative to its 2023 baseline, thereby meeting its commitment under the SBTi.
WNC also achieved a notable improvement in the Public Policy Engagement and Industry Collaboration category of CDP's Climate Change questionnaire. As a member of the Asia Clean Energy Coalition (ACEC), the company actively supports clean energy procurement policy and market reforms in Vietnam, reinforcing energy transition efforts in said country and contributing to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. WNC also participates in Taiwan's Green Lifestyle Partnership, encouraging the adoption of sustainable behaviors across businesses, employees, and the broader public in support of the nation's 2050 net-zero target.
Looking forward, WNC will continue to advance environmental leadership through transparent disclosure, rigorous governance, and collaborative action across the value chain. The company remains committed to working with partners worldwide to accelerate progress toward net-zero emissions, ensuring that sustainability serves as a foundation for long-term corporate resilience and shared benefit for society and the planet.
